SUMMARY
Constantine Maleinos was born at the end of the 9th or the beginning of the 10th century, possibly in Cappadocia. He was member of a powerful family of the military aristocracy of Asia Minor situated in the theme of Charsianon. He reached the summit of his career in the middle of the 10th century, when he held the office of strategos; he was also member of the Senate and he was honored with the title of patrikios. He participated in the battle of Andrasus in 960. He died at the end of the 960’s in Cappadocia.
