An illustrious member of the Doranites aristocratic family from Trepizond. Constantine Doranites’ activity should be viewed within the context of the civil strife that disrupted the Empire of Trebizond in the 14th century. During the period of the reign of emperor Michael Grand Komnenos he was granted the dignity of protovestiarios. He revolted against Alexios III Grand Komnenos without any success, as the kephalatikeuon of the Limnia.
