SUMMARY
A descendant of an aristocratic family of Trebizond and the wife of emperor Basil Grand Komnenos. In September 1351 she led a campaign against Constantine Doranites, who was a military commander at Limnia. Eirene of Trebizond is considered to be the founder of the church of the monastery of Theotokos Theoskepastos. She died after 1381.
